Riley is a gender neutral name. They can be a guy, and they can be a girl. Also, the translation to non-gender neutral callings is possibly because the language doesn't have a gender neutral alternative, thus not supporting much of the theory of Riley being female. So for now, until or unless stated, let Riley's gender be a mystery. However, it's up to you to make your headcanon on them. Just don't edit the article without official confirmation, as this is a Canon wiki.

Female?

In the spanish version of the game, Aunt Kate refers to her as "Querida", and that refers to people who identify with female pronouns, so Riley is probably a girl, unless the she/her pronouns are just by how she identifies.
