Tapes

VHS tapes are items used for story progression. Most contain interactable episodes of Amanda the Adventurer, while others—usually secret tapes—contain a relevant recorded video.

Five are found in Amanda the Adventurer: Pilot Episode, with two being secrets. Fifteen are found in Amanda the Adventurer, with three having an alternate version and six being secrets. Thirteen are found in Amanda the Adventurer 2, with four being secrets and one being a cassette tape.

The tapes are collected via puzzles solved using clues in an episode.

Amanda the Adventurer: Pilot Episode[]

Amanda the Adventurer[]

"Everything Rots!"		Amanda educates Riley about the subject of rotting and death.	Version 1 is found by completing the clock puzzle. Version 2 is through the Say n' See.
"What's a Family?"		Amanda and Wooly visit a petting zoo to see animal families.	Found in the locked toolbox, unlocked using the code "GUTS"
"Riley's Fav Movies"		Short video that hints at the location of the next tape	Found on the center table after watching version 2 of "Oh No! Accidents!"
"Summer 1984"		Short video that gives a puzzle to obtain the next tape	Found on the trapdoor after watching "Riley's Fav Movies"
"Home Movies"		Short video that gives numbers to insert into Blabbot	Found in the closet, unlocked using the code 2862
"We Can Share"		Amanda teaches Riley about sharing.	Found in the chest, unlocked by obtaining a key from Blabbot

Secret tapes[]

The secret tapes (excluding "Herd of Mouth") are obtained by:

• Making a peach pie instead of an apple pie after watching "In the Kitchen".
• Pausing "In Your Neighborhood (Version 2)" while at the corner store and playing the notes "FACADE" on the piano.
• Giving Gret-chan a yellow flower.
• Telling Amanda the daddy chicken is called Sam in "What's a Family?".
• Telling Amanda "nobody" when asked who can help a hurt person in "Oh No! Accidents!".

"Security Footage"		Mute surveillance footage shows the Hameln Director interviewing Rebecca Colton.
"News Report"		News 45 reports Sam Colton's show and his recent disappearance.
"Public Access Interview"		Coffee Break host Sadie Koppen interviews Sam about the popularity of Amanda the Adventurer.
"Recording Booth"		A cameraman secretly records an odd session between the Hameln Director, Sam, and Rebecca.
"Herd of Mouth"		A nearly ten-minute video shows Wooly sitting alone in a room. This tape is irrelevant in terms of lore.

Amanda the Adventurer 2[]

"Watch Me"		In-game trailer of Amanda the Adventurer 2	Demo-exclusive. Given to the player by the Entity after watching "Let's Plan a Trip".
"Goodnight!"		Amanda prepares everything before going to sleep.	Found in the piggy bank after meeting the coin requirement
"Let's Start the Day!"		Amanda starts preparing everything to start the day.	Obtained after solving the train puzzle
"Let's Practice Patience!"		Amanda practices patience with Wooly by fixing different items.	Found by solving two sides of the activity block
"Let's Hunt for Treasure!"		Amanda and Wooly look for treasure.	Obtained by solving the monkey puzzle or smashing the Wooly puppet display case
"When You're Feeling Bad"		Amanda feels bad, and Wooly tries to cheer her up with a story.	Found by solving two sides of the activity block in a second run
"We Can Fix It!"		Amanda and Wooly try to fix broken objects.	Found in Kate Park's office after the Entity destroys the door
"Do You Feel Safe?"		Amanda talks to Riley about safety, trusting others, fears, and strangers.	Replaces the "We Can Fix It!" tape after finishing it

Secret tapes[]

The secret tapes are obtained by:

• Answering all the tool selection questions to build a birdhouse with the wrong answers in "Let's Practice Patience!" (except the paint).
• Tearing off the barcode on the "SILENCE IS GOLDEN IN HERE" poster (appears after smashing the Wooly puppet display case) and scanning it on the computer.
• Solving all sides of the activity block from the answers given in "Let's Start the Day!" and "Goodnight!".
• Creating a path to the cave in the train puzzle.
• "Aunt Kate's Death": Obtaining the secret tapes and not helping Amanda and Wooly at the end of "Do You Feel Safe?".
