Endings of Amanda the Adventurer 2

Three endings can be obtained in Amanda the Adventurer 2. The true ending occurs by finding the secret tapes and listening to "Aunt Kate's Death", while the normal ending occurs if the aforementioned are not found. The Anger Issues ending occurs if the Entity is given a toy other than the Wooly puppet in "Let's Hunt for Treasure!" This ending is initially forced, as the puppet cannot be obtained until after "When You're Feeling Bad".

The normal ending involves the Masked Figure smashing a tape before she is attacked by the Entity, while the true ending has the Figure reveal her identity and intentions to Riley Park before she is killed by another entity. Both conclude with Riley escaping into a secret bunker.

Transcript

After watching "Do You Feel Safe?", Riley goes to the Kate Park's office to find the Masked Figure inspecting the destroyed door.

• Masked Figure: "Did that thing do this? [shudders, then stands] I'm really glad you're okay. Let's gather the tapes, quickly. I'll go grab what I can from the library, and then we've really got to get out of here."

The Figure leaves to gather the tapes. Riley finds three keys hidden around the library that unlock a secret panel in Kate's desk containing a cassette player and a button.

• Normal ending
• True ending

Riley pushes the button, opening a secret entrance in the back bookshelves. The Figure returns holding a box of tapes and a hammer.

• Masked Figure: "Good, you're okay. Let's do what we came to do and get out of here."

The Figure walks up to the desk and dumps the tapes onto it. She then takes the hammer and splits the "Do You Feel Safe?" tape in half. She and Riley watch as a blue light rises from the tape, fading away after reaching the ceiling. Before the Figure smashes another tape, the Entity bursts from the ceiling and pins her to the desk. Riley recoils before grabbing an unlabeled tape that fell next to them.

• Masked Figure: "Riley... run."

The Entity reaches to attack Riley but misses. They enter the opening and pull a switch that starts closing the bookshelves. Riley watches as the Entity tugs at the Figure's head before the shelves close, muffling her screams and the former's hisses. Riley opens a hatch, revealing a dark hole with a ladder they descend.

Having found a cassette tape, Riley loads it into the player. It plays a recording by Kate where she—behind the wheel—admits her mistake with her letter and warns Riley not to watch the tapes, before colliding with another car. The Figure has returned and heard the recording. She holds a box of tapes and a hammer.

• Masked Figure: "Riley... I don't know what to... I-uh... I am so sorry. [walks up to them] She... Kate... died... because of me. [places the hammer on the desk] My brother was one of the kids who disappeared. All I wanted was to find him. And... someone came to me. They told me he was trapped and that the only way to free him was to smash the tapes. And I believed them... I brought you here to destroy these. I thought I was doing the right thing. The night she died, I went to your aunt's house. She'd been working so hard to find the truth. But all I wanted was to get Jordan back. I screamed at Kate to give me the tapes. And then... [pause] that... creature..."

The Figure removes her mask. It is Joanne Cook. After a moment, she takes a deep breath and places the mask on the desk.

• Joanne: "It was horrible... [lets out a sharp breath] I pushed Kate out of there, begged her to run. I didn't want her to get hurt because of me. But then she... [whimpers, then sobs] ...I think it was protecting the tapes. We didn't know. Kate didn't know. And now I... [sniffs] I've led those psychos right to her house. They're the ones who burnt it down. It was to destroy those tapes, I know it!... I saw the letter she wrote to you. I know she trusted you to pick up where she left off, and I took advantage of that trust to bring you here. To find the tapes. [pause] I don't know if you can ever forgive me. But I do know that Hameln needs to be brought down. I won't be their pawn anymore. I will do whatever I can to—"

The howl from earlier is heard. Riley pushes the button, opening a secret entrance in the back bookshelves.

• Joanne: "Riley... take these... and get out of here."

Loud thumps are heard, followed by a roar and creaking. Joanne backs into the desk and trips, dropping the box. Riley grabs an unlabeled tape.

• Joanne: "Go! I'll be right behind you... I promise."

Riley enters the opening as the library's lights flicker off. Only breathing is heard before a roar in the office breaks the silence, accompanied by the tearing of flesh, snapping, and Joanne's anguished screams. The eyes of the aggressor glow, revealing it to be an entity in the form of a sheep. Riley pulls a switch that starts closing the bookshelves. The creature hears and stops. Alarmed, Riley pulls the switch several more times before the shelves immediately close, right as the creature goes to attack. Riley opens a hatch, revealing a dark hole with a ladder they descend.

On Riley's radio, they hear Joanne's cries and then pained gasps. More thumps are heard before the feed cuts with the creature's roar.

• In the true ending, right as the credits appear, Joanne—muffled—can almost be heard saying, "Wooly, stop!"
