"Going to the Store", or Episode 2, is the second tape in Amanda the Adventurer: Pilot Episode. It appears on the couch in front of the TV after watching "Baking a Pie".

Plot

In the beginning, Wooly tries to warn the viewer about something, but he is abruptly interrupted by Amanda and sets things back to normal. Wooly seems to be paranoid and nervous. Amanda and Wooly are going to the butcher's shop for her grandma, though Wooly is confused and mentions that her grandma is a vegetarian. After going to the butcher's shop, the player tells the butcher that they need meat. As the butcher takes out a chunk of meat and cuts it, Amanda stares at Wooly, causing him to panic as the episode ends.

Transcript

The episode begins with Wooly standing alone in an alley. He sees the viewer and heads to the camera.

• Wooly: "Oh, it's you! Okay, we don't have much time. Whatever you do, don—"

The video glitches. Amanda has appeared, with Wooly now standing next to her.

• Amanda: "Hi, everyone! I'm Amanda!"
• Wooly: "And I'm Wooly!"
• Amanda: "Today, we're going to get meat for Grandma!"
• Wooly: "But isn't Grandma a vegetarian?"
• Amanda: [to the viewer] "Can you tell us where the butcher is?"

If the player clicks the ice cream store:

• Amanda: [irritated] "Can you tell us where the butcher is?"

After clicking the ice cream store again, it disappears.

• Amanda: [shrugging] "The butcher?"

---

After clicking the butcher shop:

• Amanda: "There it is! Let's go!"

It cuts to Wooly and Amanda inside the butcher shop. The butcher stands behind a counter, meat swinging from hooks on the ceiling.

• Amanda: "Hello, meat man!"

TV static intensifies while the characters do nothing. It soon disappears and Amanda resumes speaking.

• Amanda: "Can you tell the meat man what we need?"

Wooly fearfully gestures, trying to stop the viewer. A four-letter prompt appears.

If the player answers incorrectly:

• Amanda: "Can you tell the meat man what we need?"

After the second time:

• Amanda: [angrily] "Tell him what we need!"

If the player typed "lamb", the Secret Tape and subsequently "Finding Treasure" will appear.

After the player types "meat":

• Amanda: "That's right!"

The butcher takes out a big piece of meat from behind the counter and slowly cuts it. During this, Amanda's smile disappears before she and Wooly stare at each other. Wooly panics right as the tape ends.

If the player types "2023", the screen cuts to a blue screen. A voice speaks:

• "I was like you.
• I thought this was all fun.
• You should have listened to that sheep.
• You... are no longer safe.
• You must prepare.
• You must be ready.
• DON'T. LET. HER. IN."

Cut to a black screen.

SAY HELLO
2023 A roar is heard, before the tape ends, and the game stops there.
