"Let's Plan a Trip" is a tape from Amanda the Adventurer 2. It is found in a cabinet at the library's front desk, unlocked using the code 6358.
Transcript[]
The title card for Amanda the Adventurer is shown, with Wooly blacked out. It fades away, before "Created by Sam Colton" briefly appears. The video cuts to a surgical light turning on with a beeping noise in the background. It then cuts to Amanda on a sofa.
- Amanda: "Hi, friends! I'm Amanda! [gets off the sofa] Have you ever wanted to go far, far away? [pause] Well, we can! [looks around the room] At least in our imaginations we can... with my magic train!"
The camera pans out to reveal a miniature train in the room.
- Amanda: "If you can visit anyone in the world, who would you go see?"
A nine-letter prompt appears.
If the player types "Sam":
- Amanda: "Wait, that's..."
If the player types "Amanda", "Rebecca", or "You":
- Amanda: [eye twitches] "Do you really think you could do that?"
If the player types "Wooly" or "Woolie":
- Amanda: "[giggles] Yeah, if you can find him...!"
If the player types "Kate":
- Amanda: "I wish I could still visit her..."
If the player types "Butcher" or "Meat man", the video glitches, and Amanda recoils.
- Amanda: "No! Why are you being so mean to me?"
If the player types any other word:
- Amanda: "That sounds like fun!"
- Amanda: "I love to daydream about all the places I could have g-"
The video glitches.
- Amanda: "-think about all the places we can go! [stands on the sofa] Let's plan a trip!"
The camera pans upward to reveal five drawings of places of interest, including the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben.
- Amanda: "I've made pictures of all the places I want to go."
Brief close-up of the drawings.
- Amanda: "But wow, it's so dark in here. Should I open the curtain or turn on the lamp?"
After clicking the curtain or lamp, Amanda goes over to open it/turn it on. An opossum peaks from under the sofa before quickly retreating. The room brightens from the sunlight/lamp.
- Amanda: "That's much better! Now let's plan that trip! There are three places I want to go on my magic train today! First, I want to see the Eiffel Tower! Where can I do that?"

If the player chooses incorrectly:
- Amanda: "That would be a fun place to see, but the Eiffel Tower isn't there, silly!"
After the second time:
- Amanda: "Geez, can't you figure this out?"
After the third time, the other drawings fade away.
- Amanda: "The Eiffel Tower is in Paris. Geez..."
After clicking the Eiffel Tower drawing:
- Amanda: "We'll go to Paris first on the magic train!"
Cut back to the view of the room.
- Amanda: "Hmmm, it looks like a ticket to Paris cost two coins. Let's see what I have in my piggy bank."
Amanda gets off the sofa and grabs her piggy bank next to it.
- Amanda: "What's the best way to open this piggy bank? I can pull up the plug, or I can smash it!"
If the player chooses the pull the plug:
- Amanda: "Aww, you're no fun."
If the player chooses to smash it:
- Amanda: "[giggles] This is gonna be fun! Goodnight, Mr. Piggy!"
Cut to a close-up of Amanda holding the coins.
- Amanda: "Let's count them together. One... two... three... four... five! I have five coins, that's more than enough for our first stop! We just need to take away two coins, can you count them?"
Amanda removes two coins. Cut to the view of the room.
- Amanda: "The next place I want to go is very special because it makes me think of our friend Gret-chan over there!"
Gret-chan is shown at a cardboard train station. Close-up of the drawings.
- Amanda: "Let's go to the Isle of Dead Dolls! Where can I find that?"
If the player chooses incorrectly:
- Amanda: "Wow, planning this trip with you is going to take forever, isn't it?"
After the second time:
- Amanda: "Looks like someone needs to brush up on their cultural knowledge."
After the third time:
- Amanda: "The owner of the Isle of Dead Dolls hangs dolls to keep demons away. Do you think that really works?"
The other drawings fade away.
- Amanda: "It's near Mexico City, okay?"
After clicking the drawing of the pyramids:
- Amanda: "Our next stop is Mexico City!"
Cut to the view of the room. The opossum peaks from under the sofa again.
- Amanda: "A ticket to Mexico City on my magic train cost three coins!"
The opossum retreats. Amanda takes notice.
- Amanda: "Uhhh... anyway, that ticket costs three coins! So let's take those away from what we have."
Cut to the close-up of Amanda holding three remaining coins.
- Amanda: [removing the coins] "One... two... three! Oh no, that's all our coins! And I still have one more place I want to visit! We need some more money. What are we going to do?"
Cut to the view of the room. Three toys: a teddy bear, clown, and rooster appear on the sofa.
- Amanda: "I can sell one of these for some coins!"
Close-up of the toys.
- Amanda: "Which one do you think will get us the most coins?"
If the player clicks the teddy bear or clown:
- Amanda: "You really think I can get coins for that old thing?"
After the second time:
- Amanda: "You have really weird taste in toys."
After the third time, the teddy bear and clown are replaced with wool.
- Amanda: "Okay, so which one can I sell?"
After clicking the rooster:
- Amanda: "Let's sell funny Mr. Rooster! [grabs it] Someone gave this to me when I was feeling really bad and scared, and it made me laugh. I hope he can go make someone else laugh."
She hugs Mr. Rooster before throwing him up. Distorted rooster sounds play as coins fall into Amanda's hands.

- Amanda: "Wow, I got three coins for Mr. Rooster! Okay, let's see how much our next destination costs."

- Amanda: "I love learning about history on my trips. Where can I take a tour and learn about... Jack the Ripper?"
If the player chooses incorrectly:
- Amanda: "Come on, you know this."
After the second time:
- Amanda: "Wow, you really don't know anything, do you?"
After the third time, the other drawings fade away.
- Amanda: "Jack the Ripper killed at least five people in London in 1888. Busy guy. [giggles]"
After clicking the Big Ben drawing:
- Amanda: "We're going to London!"
Cut back to the view of the room.
- Amanda: "A ticket to London is four coins. And I only have three! I don't know where I'm going to get more coins for my trip. I might as well not even go anywhere... Wait a minute! I have a coin in my pocket! Now I have four! That's enough for our last stop!"
The opossum emerges from under the sofa and crawls toward Amanda.
- Amanda: "No, no, no! Go away! Get this weirdo out of here!"
After the player clicks the opossum, Amanda shakes it off her leg and it unhappily runs away. Close-up of Amanda holding the coins.
- Amanda: "Whoa, who the heck was that guy? He was going to take my coins! [adds the coin from her pocket] Good, all four are still there! Let's count how many we need to pay for the ticket to London! [removing the coins] One... two... three... four!"
If the player does nothing, the opossum eventually overpowers Amanda and eats one of the coins. It lands on the floor and crawls back under the sofa.
- Amanda: "No, no, no! He ate one of my coins!"
Brief close-up of Amanda's hand with only three coins. She then throws a temper tantrum by wailing face-down on the sofa for a moment.
- Amanda: "I want to go on my trip! Where can I find more coins now...?"
After clicking the sofa:
- Amanda: "Wow, you're smart! There's always all kinds of stuff in the sofa cushions!"
Cut back to the view of the room.
- Amanda: "Oh, hey, it's time to catch my train!"
She gets off the sofa and drops off her coins at the train station with Gret-chan. She then gets in the back of the train, which starts moving in a circle.
- Amanda: "This is fun, I guess, but I wish I really could go see the world..."
After some static, the tape ends.
Trivia[]
- If the player helped Amanda from the Opossum, when she says "but I wish I really could go see the world..." the subtitles say "V_e1_s9c_8".
- There are video files that have similar names, such as V_e1_s9d. However, V_e1_s9c_8 doesn't exist, but the subtitle that should display at that time does not display. It is most likely the ID for the subtitle that should display but is missing (explained here https://youtu.be/tj08Mc-j8Y8)
