"Let's Start the Day!" is a tape found in Amanda the Adventurer 2. It is obtained by completing the train puzzle.
Synopsis[]
Amanda starts preparing everything to start the day.
Transcript[]
The tape starts with the silhouette of a person walking through a doorway illuminated by a bright yellow light. It then cuts to the beginning of the episode, with Amanda waking up in her bed, hugging a pink stuffed bear.
- Amanda: [yawns; looks out the window] "Good morning, birdies!"
Four birds are at Amanda's window. One flies away.
- Amanda: [to Riley] "I'm Amanda! Let's start the day! [sets the bear upright, then gets out of bed] First, I need to make my bed. Will you help me? We need to fluff the pillows and smooth out the blanket. Which should we do first?"
If the player clicks the pillows, Amanda gets on the bed and starts fluffing the pillows. While fluffing the second one, she looks at the bear.
- Amanda: "Pillow fight!"
Using the pillow, she knocks the bear over, then flings it at the camera.
- Amanda: [laughs] "He didn't see that coming. Okay, let's get serious and finish making the bed! [throws the pillow behind her] Can you help me smooth out the blanket?"
After clicking the blanket, Amanda gets off the bed and smooths it out.
- Amanda: "Looking good! It's nice not to have to do everything by myself."

- Amanda: "Every morning, I like to think about what adventure I might want to go on that day. What kind of adventure would you like to go on today? [responding to the viewer] Mhm... uh huh... yeah... uh huh..."
The lighting dims and the music slows.
- Amanda: "...uh huh... hm... mmm..."
After brief static, the scene returns to normal.
- Amanda: "That sounds great! I think I'm going to need my backpack for that one! Hmmm, where did I put it?
The camera zooms out to reveal a dresser, chair, and closet.
If the player clicks the wrong object:
- Amanda: "I don't think it's in there!"
After the second time:
- Amanda: "We're never going to find my backpack!"
After the third time, the dresser and chair are destroyed.
- Amanda: "Okay, so where. Is. My. Backpack?"
After clicking the closet:
- Amanda: "You found it!"
Amanda walks over to the closet and opens it, finding the backpack. The video freezes briefly, before cutting to Amanda in front of her bed.
- Amanda: "I'm starving. I'm going to get dressed and I'll meet you in the kitchen for breakfast!"
Fade into Amanda's kitchen. The Opossum climbs into the cupboards as Amanda walks in.
- Amanda: "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?"
An eight-letter prompt appears.
If the player types "Wooly", "Mutton", or "Lamb":
- Amanda: "Sorry, but we're all out of that. [giggles]"
If the player types any other word:
- Amanda: "I don't like that for breakfast, but you do you, I guess."
- Amanda: "I usually have to make breakfast by myself. I'm pretty good at it. But today, you can help me! First, let's pick a cup for my juice!"

- Amanda: "Which one should I use?"
After clicking either cup:
- Amanda: "I love red/lavender/blue! Now, do you want to help me make bacon or toast?"
She pulls out the options.
If the player clicks the bacon:
- Amanda: "Yum, bacon's my favorite! [drops the bread, then looks around] Hmmm, can you find me something to cook the bacon on?"
The player can now search the library.
- Amanda: [lying on the island] "What's taking you so long?"
Later:
- Amanda: "How is it this hard to find a frying pan?"
If the player brings back the wrong object:
- Amanda: "How the heck am I supposed to cook bacon on that? Go find me something I can use!"
After the second time:
- Amanda: "Have you ever even been in a kitchen before? I don't know how I'm supposed to use that to cook!"
Static briefly appears, followed by Amanda groaning and the player holding the pan.
After finding and bringing back the pan:
- Amanda: [holding the pan] "Thanks!"
Behind and unnoticed by Amanda, the Opossum attempts to erase the eggs and bacon drawing on the fridge whiteboard before walking behind the island.
- Amanda: "Now, what can I use to cook the bacon? The refrigerator, the sink, or the stove?"
If the player clicks the wrong object:
- Amanda: "Nope, that won't work."
After the second time:
- Amanda: "Maybe I should've done this myself, after all."
After the third time, the fridge and sink disappear.
- Amanda: "So what are we using to cook this bacon?"
After clicking the stove:
- Amanda: "Great! Let's make some bacon!"
Cut to Amanda cooking the bacon. Unnoticed, the Opossum sits on top of the fridge, aiming for the bacon.
- Amanda: "Mmmm... I love bacon! It's so crisp and— [sees the Opossum, gasps, then points at it] Don't you dare! [to Riley] Get him out of here!"
After clicking the Opossum, it climbs off the fridge, briefly looks at Amanda, then walks away.
- Amanda: "How does he keep getting in here? He almost ruined my breakfast. Phew, time to make the rest of my meal—"
If the player does nothing, the Opossum gets on the stove, launches the bacon into its mouth, then knocks over Amanda as it jumps away.
- Amanda: [getting up] "Gross! I'm going to have to start all over again—!"
If the player clicks the bread, Amanda throws the bacon off-screen.
- Amanda: "Okay, let's make some toast! What do we do first?"
Pan over to the island where a toaster, knife, and jar of jelly sit. The Opossum's hand is seen reaching from the right.
- Amanda: "Toast it, cut it in half, or spread jelly on it?"
If the player clicks the wrong object:
- Amanda: "I don't think we want to do that first."
After the second time:
- Amanda: "Maybe I should've done this myself, after all."
After the third time, the knife and jelly disappear.
- Amanda: "So, what do we do first?"
After clicking the toaster:
- Amanda: "Great! Let's toast the bread! [puts the bread in the toaster] I love toast! It's so warm and—"
The Opossum jumps onto the island, knocking off the jelly and knife.
- Amanda: "You again!? [to Riley] Get him out of here!"
The Opossum grabs the toaster and starts biting it.
After clicking the Opossum, it looks at the camera as it slowly puts down the toaster before fleeing.
- Amanda: "How does he keep getting in here? [brings the toaster closer] He almost burned my toast! [the toaster finishes] Phew, time to make the rest of my meal—"
If the player does nothing, the Opossum is briefly electrocuted before it drops the toaster on the floor and flees.
- Amanda: "He ruined it! I'm going to have to start all over again—"
Cut to Amanda sitting at the island with her breakfast.
- Amanda: "A day of adventuring calls for a big breakfast!"
Close-up of the meal.
- Amanda: "Hmm... I don't know what to eat first! It all looks so good!
Cut back. Amanda decides to eat a muffin first.
- Amanda: "Yum—"
The tape ends.
While working on the tape's corresponding puzzle, the Masked Figure contacts Riley on their radio:
- Masked Figure: "Just checking in. Everything's still pretty quiet out here, but, we shouldn't stay too long. Try to find those tapes, okay?"
