For Blabbot and Gret-chan's puzzles, see their respective articles.

This article lists the puzzles used to obtain tapes in Amanda the Adventurer and Amanda the Adventurer 2, with information about the objects themselves.

Amanda the Adventurer[]

Toy oven[]

A toy oven created by Hameln Entertainment rests on a box at the right side of the attic, accompanied by a plastic apple, orange, strawberry, banana, and pear, along with a pie tin. After watching "In the Kitchen", the oven appears on the attic table with the items. Follow Amanda's instructions by putting the pie tin with the apple in the oven for 40 minutes at 425°. After opening, the items will be replaced with "In Your Neighborhood". Putting in items that are incorrect or on the wrong setting results in them being spit out upon the oven opening.

While watching "In the Kitchen", if the player were to pause the TV at the oven drawing behind Amanda, if they were to raise the toy oven's temperature, the tape instead ends with the show's oven bursting into flames. They are then given instructions for a meat pie, which requires a potato, mushroom, and meat, which is a mouse. Grab a mushroom from the pipe near the puddle, use plastic cheese as mouse-trap bait, and grow a potato with the right flowerpot. After putting them in for 50 minutes at 525°, the alternate "In Your Neighborhood" tape appears. The toy oven is also used in the birthday cake puzzle to get a candle and a birthday card.

Near the corner of the attic lies a hidden plastic peach. Given Wooly's hint that his favorite pie is peach, if the player were to put the peach in the pie tin and then in the oven, they're granted a secret tape.

Toy piano[]

A toy piano created by Hameln Entertainment rests on the left side of the attic. It has music notes (C, D, E, F, G, A, B) and a drawer on its bottom. The piano is green, with its drawer being blue and its handle orange. The top part of the piano is also orange.

After watching "In Your Neighborhood", the piano appears at the table. After playing the notes C-B-F (which were hinted by the store signs at the start of the episode), the drawer in the piano will open, revealing the tape for "Oh No! Accidents!". The toy piano is also used in the birthday cake puzzle to get the third candle.

The toy piano also has another side utility. In version 2 of "In Your Neighborhood", in the scene where Amanda and Wooly are in the Corner Store, there is a banner with music notes at the top. Playing these notes on the piano, which are the notes F-A-C-A-D-E, the top part of the piano will open, giving the player a secret tape.

Clocks[]

Many clocks are shown in "Oh No! Accidents!". The first one is at the start of the tape, where Wooly is hurt. Amanda pulls out a pocket watch and says at 3:45 PM Wooly tripped and fell. The second one is at the scene where Amanda and Wooly are in the hospital rooms, where there is an analog clock set at 6:20. The third one appears when Amanda and Wooly are in the bones room of the hospital. This time, it is a digital clock, and it is set to 22:50. After the tape ends, the player will see a clock on the table.

To solve this puzzle, put the hours on the clocks in the order they appear. For the clock on the table, set it to 3:45. The clock will start rapidly spinning its hands. Afterward, set the attic wall clock to 6:20, which will also spin its hands. Then, set the digital clock to 22:50, which would be 10:50 PM. Once every clock is set, they will change to 5:15. Find the missing hand for the grandfather clock on the board near the TV, which is holding up a newspaper of a Sam Colton interview. Put the hand on the grandfather clock and set it to 5:15.

After doing that, the bottom part of the clock will open, revealing the tape "Everything Rots!" and the code for the safe, which is 826. However, at this point, the safe has been replaced by a drawing of it on a cardboard box. Wait until the next run to use the code.

Coloring book[]

After watching the alternate "In Your Neighborhood", a coloring book appears on the attic table, featuring the buildings shown in the episode: the Corner Store, Meat Store, Candy Store, and Post Office. Drawn on the two pages are "Where?" "We tried to?" "We went" and in blood, "You took me". Clicking the illustrations colors them in, and after clicking three, the book turns to the next page—the same page or the beginning if the player is incorrect.

To solve the puzzle, the correct order is the Corner Store (where Amanda first went), the Candy Store (where Amanda tried to go), and the Meat Store (where Amanda ended up). As the pages turn, the illustrations become cruder, but the correct order remains the same.

On the final page, the player is given the code "GUTS" to use on the toolbox's padlock, where the tape for "What's a Family?" is found, and a pair of scissors. The book also hints at using the scissors to cut off Gret-chan's head to obtain the batteries for Blabbot. The symbol for the flowerpot that has Gret-chan's favorite flower is shown at the top of the page.

Say n' See[]

A Say n' See toy created by Hameln Entertainment is in a box in the corner of the attic. The toy is weather-themed, containing a thunderstorm, tornado, and flood (which is covered by spider webs). The speaker gives the sound for the event that the arrow lands on.

Unlike the other puzzles, the toy appears on the attic table after starting "What's a Family?" rather than after watching a tape. To solve the puzzle, the player must pause the TV and use the toy when the Emergency Alert System (EAS) messages appear, the order being thunderstorm, tornado, and flooding. The thunderstorm warning is at the beginning of the tape. The tornado warning appears if the player incorrectly answers Amanda's question about what a rooster is called. The flooding warning appears if the player chooses the incorrect sign for where the sheep are twice.

Afterward, the front cover pops off, revealing the tape for the alternate "Everything Rots!"

Birthday cake[]

In "In Your Neighborhood", there is a banner with the price for Blabbot in the scene where Amanda and Wooly are in the Corner Store. Inserting the price in the Blabbot will make him say "SEND-MY-CONDOLENCES-TO-KATE," then, after returning to the TV, Amanda and Wooly will have a sad expression. Amanda will say, "I don't want to play anymore right now," and the tape ends.

After that, a birthday cake with a candle and a birthday card appear on the table. The card is a letter from Blabbot, saying, "Congratulations, you're one year older! Wishing you the best year yet." with numbers 0, 8, 8, 2 and two candles written. Given the hint in the text, the candles mean the number 1.

After inserting the code 081821 in Blabbot, he will say to put the toy oven at 325° for 30 minutes. After doing that, a candle and another birthday card will appear inside the oven. The candle can be put on the cake, and the other birthday card has some math operations with candles. This time, the candles represent the number 2 since there are two candles on the cake now. After solving the operations, which gives the number 835161, putting that code in Blabbot will give the message "♪ C-C-D-C-F-E ♪", which is hinted to the toy piano. After playing these notes at the piano, the drawer on it will open, revealing another candle. Putting the candle on the cake will make it melt and play a distorted version of "Happy Birthday to You". After that, the tape for version 2 of "Oh No! Accidents!" will be revealed inside the cake.

Amanda the Adventurer 2[]

Printers[]

Two printers are at the front and center of the Kensdale Public Library. Upon clicking one, the printer prints a drawing that hints at how to solve the current puzzle.

Bike lock[]

On the library's front desk is a cabinet locked by a four-digit bike lock. A letter on top of the desk states that there is an "odd tape" inside. To find the code, the player must look around the library for three tampered books: Greg the Grape 2: The Raisin's Curse, This Is a Pineapple, and The Capitalist Tree. The writing and a checkout date reveal the code to be 0619.

Piggy bank[]

A piggy bank appears during "Let's Plan a Trip" if the player chooses to open the curtains. Opening the bank requires exactly ten coins, which are gained and lost whenever Amanda adds and removes coins and when the piggy bank is placed next to the TV. The coins are reset if the amount is not met by the tape's end. The pause button glows yellow to indicate when to replace or remove the bank.

To get to ten, place the piggy bank when Amanda gains five coins and removes two for her trip to Paris, then remove the bank. Replace it when Amanda gains three coins from selling Mr. Rooster, then remove it after she gains another coin from her pocket. Replace it after Amanda finds three coins in the sofa after not helping her with the Opossum. Remove it before she removes the coins. When the tape ends, the piggy bank will explode to reveal "Goodnight!"

Train[]

A train puzzle appears during "Let's Plan a Trip" if the player chooses to turn on the lamp. To solve it to get "Let's Start the Day!", arrange the pieces as seen in the left screenshot, then place the train at the starting station. To obtain a secret tape as seen in the right screenshot, the Entity must be handed the Wooly puppet in "Let's Hunt for Treasure!", which will provide access to the pieces in Kate's office. A hammer obtained after "When You're Feeling Bad" is needed to break open the piggy bank to obtain the final piece.

Activity block[]

An activity block is placed on a table during "Goodnight!" and "Let's Start the Day!" The solution for each side is found in a scene, as shown below. To obtain a secret tape, have all sides of the block solved.

On the player's first run, the block dispenses "Let's Practice Patience!", while on the second run, it dispenses "When You're Feeling Bad".

Three wise monkeys[]

Three monkeys, a radio, and a lamp appear during "Let's Practice Patience!", resembling the three wise monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil). To complete the puzzle, the tape must be paused, and each monkey must be clicked when its pose matches Amanda and Wooly's.

For the "see no evil" monkey, turn on the lamp next to the TV while Wooly talks about how dark it is outside, which will cause him and Amanda to cover their eyes. For the "speak no evil" monkey, let the Opossum splash paint on Amanda and Wooly, which will cause them to cover their mouths. For the "hear no evil" monkey, turn the radio to the maximum volume immediately after Wooly talks about the peaceful sounds of the birds, which will cause him and Amanda to cover their ears.

Once the tape ends, the monkeys will appear in a stack behind the player with the next tape, "Let's Hunt for Treasure!"

Microfilm[]

A microfilm sheet of the library layout found in Kate's office must be burned by placing it on the TV when the library silhouette and static appears during "Do You Feel Safe?"

The first static occurrence is at the beginning of the tape. The second occurrence is after the player tells Amanda no in response to feeling safe where they live. The third and last occurrence is after the player answers with Kate in response to who they trust. Once the sheet is placed under the microfilm reader, clues to obtaining three keys are revealed.

The first key is found by clicking a poster of an eye near the Kid's Corner. The second key is dispensed by the activity block by using the microfilm sheet's answers. The third key is found in a case locked by a four-digit code, the solution given by the latest checkout dates of the books Squeegee of Destiny Vol 8 and So You Want a New Identity? (Mar 1 and Aug 3 to 3183).

Trivia[]

  • The Say n' See voice is Chelsea Lecompte, who also voices Gret-chan and Amanda in Amanda the Adventurer: Pilot Episode.
  • The winter-coated character on the activity block resembles Stan Marsh from South Park.
